This book was created recently to see if our idea for a new book design would work. We used our laser cutting skills to cut out the very fine detailed design. We then placed artificial turf into a sunken panel on the inside front cover to keep it flush with the board, then cased in the book in the traditional way. We feel it’s real innovative design and nothing we have ever seen before. We wait to hear if the RFU feel the same.
Sony needed a book to feature in their advertising campaign for the new Harry Potter Game. Our brief “it needed to be leather and look really old”. We set about our task using tea, matches, boot polish and sandpaper, not the usual things associated with binding a leather book. We printed the pages and used tea to stain the paper, used the matches to scorch and burn the pages, a little boot polish on the edges and then set about the leather with a sander. As you can see from the pictures the book looked as if it had been owned by you know who himself. We would like to thank Sony for allowing us to use these pictures
We were asked to produce a modern brochure to show off this collection of contemporary waterside apartments and their fantastic views of London. Working closely with the design company we came up with an innovative method of laser cutting a GF Smith Strathmore card then lining with a Lime coloured paper, this gave the cover a unique modern design with a real stand out feature. The books were Lay Flat bound allowing the views of London to flow seamlessly across double page spreads creating a beautiful brochure that ticked all the boxes.
